Celebrating with the Ninja Turtles

Yesterday we wished a big happy birthday to my 4-year old nephew.

Four years old is pretty darn cute, because a child is very much so not a baby anymore, but still has a baby voice so basically (almost) everything they say sounds either hilarious or darling.

My sister, Easton’s mom, threw a Ninja Turtle theme birthday party, because this kid loves the turtles. He was able to answer all my inquiries about them.

Easton was super excited about his presents. He gushed over every present and told everyone “thank you thank you”. He sat beside his presents for the first 30 or so minutes of the party, but finally I bribed him away with saying I’d push him on the swing.

My little brother is home from college, so we got to spend some time with him as a well. We were lucky for such beautiful weather.

After eating BBQ & hot dogs everyone gathered for the much anticipated present time. It quickly became clear that the most thrilling part for him was simply opening the box. Maybe next time I will think to individually wrap a bunch of jelly beans for him to open.

My parents got him a Hulk outfit that will make the perfect Halloween costume.

And now he is a true Ninja Turtle.

My sister did an awesome job with everything. She is such a good mama!

I was able to get a quick snapshot with the birthday boy. Taking pictures was not at all his top priority. πŸ˜‰

It was an awesome day celebrating with my family. It makes me wish we lived right down the road so we could do it more often.
